Saw this posting today and chuckled… calm hound is an oxymoron to highest power.

Hi. I’m looking for a calm hound dog, any type, but most particularly basset, beagle, etc. to be in _______ Theatre’s upcoming production of The Mistress of the Inn, an 18th Century Italian comedy. Our hound fell through. The dog would be needed for 2 dress rehearsals, and then the show dates. The dog makes a walk on appearance in the first ½ hour of the show. S/he could be in by 7:45 and out by 8:45. Please–anyone know of one?

I was going to send in Bailey’s glossy 8×10 for consideration but then figured he wouldn’t be able to “walk” onto stage, and I’m more concerned he would leap off stage to smell everyone in the audience after his appearance.
